% Arabica Is Shaping Latte Art Culture in the Philippines

The Wing Tulip Latte Art Competition

February 24, 2026

% Arabica is renowned for its beautiful latte art and is one of the few cafés that create detailed designs even on takeaway cups. Celebrated globally for its craftsmanship, % Arabica introduced the Wing Tulip Latte Art Competition as a platform for local baristas to showcase their skill and passion. Centered on the brand’s iconic Wing Tulip design, the competition highlights precision, creativity, and the artistry that has made % Arabica a favorite among coffee lovers.

The Beginning of the Wing Tulip Series

The first competition happened last March 16, 2025, at their flagship store, the % Arabica Manila BGC Roastery, in celebration of the BGC Arts, Bikes, and Coffee Fest, where thirty talented baristas from well-known cafés and coffee communities across the Philippines competed in showcasing their mastery of the Wing Tulip pour. Each cup was judged based on symmetry, clarity, cleanliness, and difficulty, with a decisive judge-pointing system used to determine the winners.

Following the success of its first launch, the 2nd Wing Tulip Latte Art Competition was hosted to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of % Arabica Manila BGC Roastery on November 21, 2025. The event returned with even more energy, creativity, and a lineup of incredibly talented baristas.

An Event Supported by The Coffee Community

The competition grew bigger this year thanks to the support of an amazing roster of sponsors, including Slayer, Allegro, Outside, Farm Fresh, Loveramics, The Coffee District, Curve, Mazzer, Top Creamery, Equilibrium, and Masa Madre—all united in uplifting local barista talent and pushing Philippine coffee culture forward.

With % Arabica championing the Wing Tulip Latte Art through its own dedicated competition, the brand continues to promote and grow latte art culture in the Philippines. By hosting this event, % Arabica positions itself as a platform for craftsmanship—empowering baristas to refine their skills while reinforcing the idea that latte art is both a talent and a form of respect for coffee.
